Company Provides Wireless and Internet Control for 
Hard-Wired Home Systems 

Provo, Utah - July 1, 2002: Xabler Controls of Provo, Utah has developed a 
software solution to add wireless and Internet control to an existing home 
automation system.  The wireless network created by Xabler provides the ability 
to control hard-wired lighting and automation systems, as well as devices 
normally attached to a computer network.

The backbone is established by a dedicated server and a network of wireless 
devices placed throughout the structure to provide control.  The Xabler software 
interprets and converts proprietary home automation commands from the 
existing system and translates them into commands that can be interpreted 
easily by any Internet browser.  Devices with the ability to use an HTML-based 
Internet browser can be utilized as access points on the Xabler wireless network 
and installation of the Xabler system is completed in under an hour.

Homeowners receive a dual benefit from the Xabler system:  wireless and 
Internet control of bulky and confusing hard-wired control systems and the 
establishment of a home computer network for sharing Internet connections, 
business data, and home system information.  The Xabler system also provides a 
simple solution for integrating several control systems with multiple 
communication protocols into one language.  

Xabler Controls has also formed partnerships with hardware manufacturers to 
redistribute wireless products that are pre-imaged with the Xabler control 
software such as Webtablets and handheld computers. 

Currently, Xabler supports all programming conversions and commands from the 
Vantage Lighting Control and Automation system.  Conversions for Lutron 
HomeWorks Interactive and other manufacturers will be available towards the 3rd 
and 4th quarters of 2002.  Custom interfaces are available upon request.
