Xabler Announces New 2.0 Version of Software 

Introducing Xabler 2.0, the simple choice for IP-enabled home automation

June 09, 2003:  Xabler, of Provo, Utah announces the upcoming beta release of its 2.0 software, 
scheduled for July, 2003.  Xabler 2.0 delivers a truly versatile IP-enabled interface.  Using a 
touchscreen, computer or any web-enabled device, users can control multiple brands of lighting, 
security and audio/video equipment from the couch—or across the globe.  Because Xabler 2.0 is 
Linux-based, it’s more reliable and secure.  Yet Linux knowledge is not needed to configure or 
use the software.  Everything is configured through a standard web browser.  Streaming video 
and MP3 music can also be controlled by the software.  Version 2.0 also allows user interfaces to 
be designed with any program: Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.  Pre-designed templates are also 
available for dealers to quickly customize an interface for their customers.  IR and RS232 macros 
can be easily created to control audio/video equipment and home theaters.  Xabler 2.0 is a quick 
and complete software/hardware solution.  In fact, many manufacturers’ files can be automatically 
converted to create a user interface in just seconds.
    After installing the Xabler server (a Linux-based system), users can access and control the 
interface through any standard web browser.  Touchscreens are also available from Xabler.
    In addition to being an affordable solution for add-on control, installers and homeowners also have 
the option of expanding Xabler by adding any 802.11b wireless device or Ethernet appliance.
