Xabler Announces 2.0 Release of the Popular Xabler Digital Music Server (DMS)
 
New server allows users to use multiple zones, rip music CDs, and stream music

June 09, 2003:  Xabler, of Provo, Utah has announced the next version of the Xabler Digital Music 
Server (DMS).  Xabler DMS allows users to create digital music files from an existing CD collection or 
upload digital music through the home network, and can be controlled through any web-enabled 
device.  Album information is immediately retrieved when the digital music files are created.  Version 
2.0 allows users to customize the interface by downloading or creating skins to match an environment 
or setting in the home.  Playlists can be created and sorted by album, artist, title, etc.  In fact, a user’s 
favorite playlists and digital music can be streamed to any computer or handheld device.  Using IP-
enabled devices, multiple zones can be created to connect distributed audio, amplifiers, or powered 
speakers.  The Xabler DMS can be pre-installed on either the Xabler Titanium AV Server or Titanium 
Rack Server.  Xabler Streaming Video Server or the Xabler 2.0 software can be added for monitoring 
cameras or complete home automation control.
