Xabler Unveils Re-engineered Version of Its Flagship Product, Universal Control System (UCS)

PROVO, Utah—June 21, 2004—Xabler announces the 2.1 release of Universal Control System, the re-engineered version of its user-friendly interface and control system for home and business automation systems.  New features include open technology, customizable interfaces and the ability to control virtually all brands of automated systems.

Controlling automation systems becomes a challenge when dealing with the proprietary interfaces of multiple brands and systems.  The next generation of Xabler UCS is an affordable turnkey solution that allows users to automate multiple brands of lighting, security and audio/video equipment using any IP-enabled device or touchscreen. Xabler’s hardware/software solution comes with pre-designed interface themes. User interfaces can also be created with Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, FrontPage and more. UCS also supports the creation of IR and RS232 macros for triggering multiple actions from one button.

Part of the simplicity of Xabler UCS is the installation process.  UCS automatically converts a manufacturer’s programming file into Xabler format, so installers don’t have to worry about integration programming.  By uploading the manufacture’s system definition file, the controls are programmed and buttons are created on a highly intuitive graphic user interface.

 Xabler UCS offers two optional upgrades: Video Security System (VSS) and Digital Music Server (DMS).  With these options, users can add streaming video and security cameras, as well as digital music to the list of options available for control.
